So Ryan and I met the most amazing best friends from Sweden. Their names were Anton and Tindra and they were fierce. Ryan and I came across them in a little field in Central Park. They were extremely stunning dressed all in black and gray. He in a black tank, grey skinny jeans, black keds and the kind of scarf that is a continuous circle (that he just picked up from Forever 21) and she in a strapless gray uni that ended at shorts, with black leggings and the same scarf. Oh and sensible studded wedge heels. Naturally, when they were close enough I told them I thought they were incredible. Shoot to 20 minutes later and up they walk with ice cream. A bond was instantly made. After talking about everything under the sun from politics to theatre, child care to website brainstorming, Ry and I realized we want to hang out. Furthermore that we may have met the coolest people known to man. So we invited them back to 5A for wine on the roof. It was the perfect night! Wine, candle light, and the best of companies. After our roof top excursion we decided that we should show them some of our favorite spots in NYC. So off to union square we went! Ryan and Tindra climbed the fence of a playground. While Anton and I sat and conversed about how things were in his country. Not long after, the wine had traveled right thru us. Thus began our search for the bathroom. We ended up at a little set piece also known as the golden arches ( I refuse to be free advertisement). There Tindra told us that  she “… wanted to do something bad but cute”. So back to Central Park, the original meeting place of the now  lifelong friends, which of course made it cute. The bad part was that it was 3:00 in the morning. We walked through some scarcely lit areas, and sat for a bit. After a while we’d decided we were hungry. The question on everyones mind was if there was a diner or anything open in the city that actually sleeps from about 2-5 on the weekdays. Yes, there is on Broadway and 77th. We sat there watch some bad James Bond. Ate brownies, cheesecake, and mozzarella sticks. Our night ended when we realized they could catch the first bus that morning, back to NJ. All in all a great time. They are here for two weeks. But we’ve made plans to meet in Greece next summer. Hell Nasty is their phrase of choice and I think it’s time that America use it too.
